Rocky is a handsome, intelligent boy looking for a special home with an experienced and dedicated owner who can see past his challenges and appreciate the wonderful companion he can be. Rocky would do best in an adult-only home and would prefer to be the only pet, where he can have the space and stability he needs to thrive. He struggles with strangers and has a history resource guarding behaviors, so he will need a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to continue working with him on his training and help him build confidence. While Rocky may take time to trust new people, those who earn his trust quickly discover what a loyal, affectionate, and rewarding dog he is. Once he's comfortable, Rocky loves spending time with his people and forms strong bonds with those he knows and trusts. And he can have a bit of playful side to him as well!
