ARF Hamptons’ Southern Rescue Program saves dogs and cats from high-risk shelters in the South, where overcrowding and limited resources put lives at risk.By transporting animals north, ARF gives them access to medical care, behavioral support, and the chance to find loving homes; turning vulnerability into opportunity.

Operation Cat is ARF Hamptons’ nearly 30-year initiative dedicated to safeguarding community cats.Through humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), ARF helps stabilize outdoor cat populations, provides essential vaccinations, and ensures each cat can live more safely.

The program also supports local caregivers with education, resources, and free cat food to help maintain healthy colonies.For almost three decades, Operation Cat has reduced suffering, prevented countless litters, and strengthened the connection between the community and the cats who depend on us.

ARF staff members teach students from pre-school to high school about the basics of animal care and the importance of spay/neuter. Students learn about caring for shelter cats and dogs and are encouraged to choose adoption when looking for a family pet. To arrange a visit contact us.
