Southern Rescue Program
Since 2005, the Rescue Transport Program has supported animal shelters in communities across the United States and internationally who are challenged by pet overpopulation and limited resources. Through this lifesaving initiative, ARF partners with shelters in high-need areas to rescue dogs who might otherwise have few options for care or adoption.
The program provides critical veterinary care and safe transport to ARF, giving these animals a second chance. Support for the Rescue Transport Program ensures each rescued dog receives routine medical care, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchipping, necessary life-saving surgeries, and any crucial behavioral training needed to help them heal and thrive—so they are healthy, happy, and ready for loving homes.
The Rescue Transport Program is currently available for sponsorship. Naming opportunities exist for donors who underwrite the program through a multi-year commitment, playing a vital role in saving lives and expanding ARF’s reach to animals most in need.
