About

Clark is a handsome, energetic boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart for the people he trusts. While he may not be the type of dog who instantly makes friends with everyone he meets, those who take the time to get to know him will discover a loyal, fun-loving companion. Clark has a history of stranger danger and will be wary of new people. Because of this, he will need an adopter who is patient and willing to participate in multiple meet-and-greets to build trust and allow him to become comfortable at his own pace. He also has a history of resource guarding, so he do best in a home that understands canine behavior and is committed to managing his environment and continuing positive reinforcement training. To help Clark succeed, he is looking for an adult-only home where his boundaries can be respected and understood. He would also do best as the only pet in the household, allowing him to enjoy all the attention and structure he needs without the stress of sharing his space. Once Clark feels safe and secure, his goofy and affectionate side shines through. He loves being active, having fun with his people, and soaking up attention from those in his trusted circle. If you're experienced, patient, and willing to earn his trust, Clark just might be the perfect match for you.
