About

Jack is one of twelve dogs saved from a horrific slaughterhouse outside Wuhan, China in August 2022. These meat-trade survivors arrived in Beijing emaciated, abused, and traumatized. Soon after, they were unexpectedly abandoned by their original “rescuers” and left stranded in limbo for years with no clear future. After months of coordination and dedication from the Run 2 The Rescue team, Jack finally landed safely at JFK Airport and was transported to ARF Hamptons, where he has received medical care, compassionate attention, and the stability he needed to begin his new life. Jack is a gorgeous and confident young man who is looking for someone to show him the ropes. He isn’t quite sure how to be a pet, but he is incredibly sweet. He loves people, enjoys walks, and is eager to please. Because he was unsocialized for most of his life, we recommend a home with older children and prefer a home without cats. Jack will do best with an experienced dog owner who can provide guidance, structure, and continued training. With time, patience, and the right person, Jack will undoubtedly become a loyal and loving companion to someone willing to give him a chance.
