Release Party and Adoption Event set for Saturday, July 27
The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF Hamptons) is proud to announce a collaboration with Kidd Squid Brewing Company in Sag Harbor for the release of the ARF Hamptons 50 Pilsner celebrating the organizations 50th anniversary! This special brew will be launched at a release party and adoption event on Saturday, July 27, at the Kidd Squid flagship tasting room at 11 Spring Street in Sag Harbor from 12 to 3 PM.
The public is invited to come celebrate the beer’s debut and meet some of ARF’s adoptable animals on the mobile adoption van. The van will be parked next door to the brewery at the Sag Harbor Garden Center for the event.
The ARF Hamptons 50 Pilsner checks in at 4.5% ABV and is from the Czech tradition, using cascade hops from Condzella’s Farm on Long Island and saaz hops from the Czechia. This crisp beer has slightly bitter notes with a floral aroma from the hopbill.
When asked about the collaboration Kidd Squid owner, Rory McEvoy said “We are honored to be part of ARF Hamptons’ 50th anniversary, and to be able to create this very limited-edition brew. Grainne and I are huge fans of ARF Hamptons’ work through the years, and we are happy that we could contribute. The label was a collaborative process with the ARF team, quickly becoming a favorite design of ours, and we’re looking forward to the next 50 years of great ARF Hamptons work!”
“ARF has always relied on the generosity and support of our community to further our mission of rescuing and caring for animals in need,” says Kim Nichols, Executive Director. “Kidd Squid’s contribution through this delightful summer refreshment not only celebrates our milestone but also helps us continue our vital work. The light and refreshing nature of the pilsner is indeed the perfect complement to the summer season, and we are thrilled that Rory and Grainne chose to partner with us in such a meaningful way. We look forward to toasting our 50th anniversary with Kidd Squid.”
The ARF Hamptons 50 Pilsner is a limited-edition brew sold in 4-packs at the Kidd Squid Tasting Room in the historic railroad station on Spring Street in the heart of Sag Harbor. The commemorative beer will also be part of the organizations Bow Wow Meow Ball on Saturday, August 17 at ARF, generously donated by Kidd Squid.
