The Kit Kat Fund was established to honor the beloved Miniature Schnauzer of Gordon H. Hoppe and Michael Dehn Breault.

Kit Kat, a retired show dog, was instrumental in helping her companion Sophie, an ARF rescue who lived life as puppy mill breeder, adjust to life outside of that cruel environment. Kit Kat tragically died too soon, and the Kit Kat Fund was established not only to encourage and support puppy mill survivors and those who care for them, but also to support senior and medically complex animals who often face similar challenges and encourage adoption of these wonderful companions through financial support.

Please consider a donation in honor of Kit Kat and in honor of all those like her, that remind us that dogs and cats can sometimes be the best therapy for one another.

Pablo, 10-years-old

Pablo is an adorable cat with a lot of character! He came to ARF after his owner could no longer care for him. He very quickly became a staff favorite with his adorable meows and demands for belly rubs. Upon his arrival, we noticed Pablo had some missing fur and itchy spots. Our medical team jumped in and found that he suffered from allergies. They have placed Pablo on the proper diet and medication and he is now thriving! Stop in and meet Pablo, it won’t take but a minute for you to fall in love! Fill out an application to meet Pablo.

Fritz, 8-years-old

Fritz came to ARF from a local animal control office needing help and some TLC. This gorgeous German Shepherd is very intelligent and loves to show off his obedience commands. Grab a soccer ball or a toy and this boy is ready to play! A few long walks and lots of treats is all it would take to make him your loyal and loving companion. Fritz wants to be your one and only pet, and he has plenty of love to go around. Fill out an application to meet Fritz. (Photo by Mark Kopko Photography.)
