Kathy Rayner presents Peter Marino with the Champion of Animals Award

Globally acclaimed architect Peter Marino was honored by ARF with the Champion of Animals award at the 2015 Bow Wow Meow Ball. A longtime supporter of ARF, Marino, also known for his knowledge and status as a collector, and for his impact on contemporary and twentieth century design, founded his eponymous architecture, planning and design studio in New York in 1978. Alongside his work with private clients, Marino has redefined luxury in the retail space, creating store environments around the world for brands such as Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Ermenegildo Zegna, Fendi, Graff, Guerlain and Hublot, often commissioning site-specific works of art for many of them.

Marino designed and donated a park of dog runs to ARF’s 22-acre campus in Wainscott. He and his wife, Jane Trapnell,  also hosted a book signing and tour of their Southampton gardens for the release of his book The Garden of Peter Marino, with all proceeds benefiting ARF.
