We love volunteers! Even one hour a week can make a big difference for a homeless animal.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Attend ARF’s Volunteer Orientation.
  • Volunteers must be 16 years old.
  • Kids under the age of 16 can accompany an adult who has completed the volunteer orientation.

What to Expect at Volunteer Orientation

  • Meet ARF’s animals and staff
  • Learn ARF’s rules and protocols
  • Get a quick training session
  • Take a brief tour of the Adoption Center and grounds
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions
  • Orientation lasts 45-60 minutes

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Walk and socialize dogs
  • Help at in-person adoption events
  • Bring dogs to ARF special events
  • Assist cattery staff with cleaning and feeding
  • Socialize cats and kittens
  • Assemble litter boxes
  • Assist with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release)
  • Foster dogs, cats, or kittens
  • Assist at the Thrift and Treasure Shop
  • Use your talents to assist ARF in creative ways!
