Look for the ARF Mobile Adoption Van at the 3rd annual East Hampton Village Street Fair.

The Third Annual Spring Street Fair will take place on Newtown Lane in East Hampton Village in mid-May. Look for over 50 booths lining Newtown Lane on Mother’s Day Weekend Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at which local artists, shopkeepers and over 20 non-profits will display their wares and information. There will be a Main Street Stage featuring live music all day – from bluegrass to folk to rock n roll (Beatles Tribute Band – PennyLane, the Lynn Blue Band and the Potter-Tekulsky band). There’ll be plenty of activities for kids including a KIDZONE featuring a YMCA Summer Camp adventure zone including climbing wall and jumping castle, face painters, the Art Nanny, arts and crafts and more. Hampton Free Ride will be providing shuttle service from John Marshall Elementary School parking lot. In addition, look for the ARF van, science projects from the Children’s Museum of East End, and an East Hampton Library book tent. In addition there will be a flight simulator from the East Hampton Aviation Association for children and adults. This year’s Title Sponsor is The Independent newspaper.

Food Court and Sidewalk Sales
Attendees will be able to visit an expanded food court featuring local fresh lobster rolls and clam chowder from Stuart’s Seafood, wood-fired pizza, Kona ice, homemade pickles from Perfect Pickle, handmade ice cream from John’s Drive-In, tacos from Matti-taco, Annie’s Sweets’ homemade chocolate and New York handmade pretzels! This year visitors will enjoy a sidewalk sale component whereby businesses on Newtown Lane and Main Street will be able to have sidewalk sales!

Authors – a Pink Pony and Mother’s Day Cards!
New this year will be a Bedside Reading Author’s Signing Tent featuring such noted authors as Genie Chipps Henderson (A Day Like Any Other), Keele Burgin (Wholly Unraveled), Lee Matthew Goldberg (The Desire Card), Dee Delaney (The Truth: Is the Art of Being), Mel Greenburg (Running with Our Eyes Closed), Susan Silver (Hot Pants in Hollywood), and Saryon Michael White (Roya Sands and the Bridge Between Worlds). Children’s author, Ruth Ann Warren, will have a special reading from “Blossom and Grow” at 2pm that features a live pink pony and free gifts to the first 50 children. Petit Blue in East Hampton will be sponsoring a free Make A Mothers Day Card station for all kids, which includes seeds to plant so Mom can watch love grow. (Awww.)
